Hunico

Long-term renters in Bali (digital nomads, remote workers and families) usually find villas through agents and global booking platforms that add 15–20% in commissions and rarely speak their language. Owners, in turn, juggle listings across chats and spreadsheets with no tools built for monthly rentals.

The goal was a single platform that connects tenants with owners directly, works in ten languages and gives owners real business tools instead of another listing board.

Hunico aggregates verified villas and apartments across Bali with map search, district landing pages, saved listings and direct messaging. An AI assistant understands requests in natural language and recommends real listings with prices and availability checked on the server.

Owners get a CRM built around their portfolio of complexes, unit types and units, with booking calendars, pricing, automation pipelines, webhooks, Telegram notifications and an embeddable chat widget for their own website. A Pro subscription unlocks contacts and premium tools, with payments through local gateways and native in-app billing.

The web app and the native Flutter app render from one backend-driven UI contract: layouts, actions, translations, prices and access rules are defined once on the server and shared by both clients. New screens ship without waiting for an app store release.

The backend runs Symfony on RoadRunner persistent workers with Redis and Centrifugo for realtime chat. Server-side rendering in ten languages with hreflang, per-locale sitemaps and structured data makes every listing and district page indexable. A dedicated MCP server connects analytics, ads, monitoring and production data to AI agents.

Within a year of the first commit Hunico grew to 50 property owners and more than 200 published properties across Bali, with the Android app live on Google Play. Every change goes through thousands of automated tests and a fully automated GitLab CI/CD pipeline.
